Andres A. Pinto, D.D.S., D.M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Pinto is Assistant Professor/Clinician Educator in Oral Medicine and Director of Clinical Oral Medicine and Medically Complex Patient Care at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Pinto received the DMD degree, certificate in Oral Medicine from Penn Dental Medicine, certificate in clinical research, and MPH from Penn Medicine. He is board certified in Oral Medicine since 2004.
During his time at Penn Dr. Pinto has developed a keen interest in health disparity research and policy, which culminated in his Capstone Project for the Master of Public Health Program. Dr. Pinto is particularly interested in oral-medical disparities and access to care issues in minority populations, and in finding venues where oral care professionals can intervene effectively to promote patient’s overall health.
