Ian Moore Bennett, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Bennett carries out multi-disciplinary research in the area of social determinants of disparities in maternal-child and reproductive health with focus on low literacy. He has been recognized as a “Health Disparities Scholar” by the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities, National Institutes of Health for his work. Dr. Bennett is developing linked health and literacy interventions for women with low literacy with the Center for Literacy in Philadelphia.  In addition Dr. Bennett is the research director of the Early Options Research Network, a group of seven family practice residency programs in the New York and Philadelphia areas which is focusing on the development of resident training to improve continuity of care through the provision of comprehensive reproductive health services in the primary care setting.
