Nicholas Sachs, MD, MPH
Every year, the MPH program is invited to nominate one of our MD/MPH students for the Excellence in Public Health Award, given out by the United States Public Health Service, whose mission is to protect, promote, and advance the health and safety of our Nation. Each year, the USPHS Physicians Professional Advisory Committee recognizes medical students for the outstanding public health work that they have done while a medical student. This year, the award was won by Nicholas Sachs, who was cited for his work on reducing motor vehicle crashes. Nick will be doing a residency in Emergency Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
